While price is always important, it is even more important that you like the style and quality of the photography, the photographers, and the album design offered. We pride ourselves on our unobtrusive, photojournalistic, creative style.
OUR ALBUM DESIGN
We offer the latest in magazine style album design. Each book is designed uniquely for that couple by us; we don't use cookie cutter templates that make all the books look the same or send the book out to a company that uses the same templates over and over. No two weddings are alike, and no two of our books are alike. We offer parent albums that are smaller version of the couple's albums.
We can also create albums for events, seniors and families.
We use a variety of the highest quality books including GrapiStudio, Asuka, Kingston and Renaissance. See examples of our album design.

We are a husband and wife team, Theresa Aubin Ahrens and Ned Ahrens, living with our Beagle in an empty nest near Silverdale and Bremerton in Kitsap County. We have over 30 years of photography experience each, including working as photojournalists for daily news papers in Minnesota, North Dakota, Texas, and Washington. Our work has been published in numerous books and magazines around the world. Theresa is listed in "The History of Women Photographers". Both are winners of numerous photography and photojournalism awards and are members of various professional organizations including Professional Photographers of America, and the National Association of PhotoShop Professionals. We started photographing weddings when our youngest daughter stopped filling our weekends with soccer games. The surprise to us was the joy we found in wedding photography! We love being a part of such a happy day!
OUR PHOTOGRAPHY
Our background is in photojournalism. We love capturing those fleeting expressions of emotion during significant moments. The faces tell the story. We make a visual story of the day, moment, or event. We look for the smallest details that often say so much. We see each wedding day as a story that tells a lot about the people and the family; their love and their life.
However, we are just as experienced with traditional style and posing. Each event is different and our style allows for those differences and choices. We make sure to get the shots we know are important to you, and we also do everything we can to catch those moments that make your special day uniquely yours.
Our team approach allows complete coverage, more than what only one photographer could get. We use high quality, professional cameras and lenses to make sure we get sharp detail and great color using existing light when possible to allow us to fade into the background unobtrusively. However when more light is needed, we use remote triggers on our flash system so there are no cords for guests to trip over.
We are as comfortable photographing a wedding as we are in the studio shooting products or portraits, or on location shooting commercial projects or head shots.
